Erica is a 19 year old student who was born in Toronto, Ontario; she still resides there with her parents and 2 brothers.  She began drawing cartoon characters in grade 4, and by the end of elementary, knew that she had a passion for art.  During middle and high school, Erica won every class awards for her visual arts and finds that almost all of her pieces are inspired by lyrics in songs. 

Erica enjoys working with acrylic “because it’s very forgiving, you can always go back and cover it up if you make a mistake. Also, I like how you can layer the paint very thick so you are able to create some texture. “   Her most memorable piece is named “Unmasked;” it is the work that in her opinion has the most meaning.

Erica has just completed her second year of University, with her emphasis on art fundamentals.  Her goal is to graduate with her Bachelor of Design and will pursue a career with a design firm. Erica lives by the philosophy “You either make it out of the storm or you just get wet.”
