Gabrielle is a seventeen year old (17) grade 12 student who was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario.  At four (4) years old, she drew everything she saw, including stick figures of her family; she would later upgrade her drawings to include fingers, eyelashes and nostrils. 

Gabrielle is a gifted artist who has won numerous awards for her art.  She has also received art scholarships for a summer program at York University and a five (5) year scholarship (Maple Leafs Dream) for an art programs at the Ontario Academy of Arts and Designs (OCAD); this scholarship is funded by the Toronto Maple Leafs. 

Gabrielle enjoys pen sketches and painting with acrylics and ink, often preferring to sketch in two colour pens and painting it with ink.  “I even like the rough look of this effect other than something pristine and clean cut.  It is hard for her to choose her favourite piece, but her ______ holds a special place in her heart; it is featured in the Guild’s 2009 calendar.

After graduating from High School, Gabrielle will continue her art studies at one of the universities in Toronto, and will eventually pursue a career in art.  She enjoys using visual means to communicate and loves to read and learn new things.  She loves this quote from one of her favourite books.
